The Animal Hospital is a family run facility that was established in 1974 by Dr. Lexi’s father, Ed Becker. Over the years the hospital and grounds have been upgraded continuously as veterinary technology, and our needs, have changed.

Entrance
Our front porch and entrance are decorated for each season. In the warmer months, this open space provides additional seating overlooking the horse pastures and swan pond.

Check-In
Here you will be greeted with a warm smile and familiar face. The Keurig Coffee, tea or cold beverages are always waiting for you.

Reception
The reception area is warm and inviting with a cozy fireplace. You are also welcome to wait on our front porch overlooking the pasture and swan pond or relax in an outdoor area by the bird feeders near our rear parking area.

Consult
The consult room is a quiet, out of the way area where our clients can relax if they choose to wait while their pet has a procedure done. It is also a place that we use to discuss a pet's progress or discuss go-home instructions. In addition, this is a comfortable space where you can say goodbye to a beloved pet.

Exam
There are five separate exam rooms. Our exam tables are laminated, which we find warmer and less threatening than steel, and the floors in these rooms are seamless as this is more comfortable on our knees and for your companion. Each room is equipped with the instruments necessary for a complete physical examination.

Treatment
The treatment area is the heart of the hospital. This area has direct access to the imaging suite, triage, pharmacy, patient areas, exam tables and the doctors' office. Within the treatment area is our intensive care/oxygen unit. Here, critically ill or injured patients can be closely monitored minute to minute in a controlled environment.

Laboratory
The Laboratory is equipped with computerized machines and instruments for the many tests we do in-house while you wait.
Triage
The triage room is between the operating room and treatment area. It is here that hospitalized patients receive daily exams and treatments, are placed under anesthesia, and are prepped for surgery. This is also where all surgical patients remain for their stay with us, both pre and post operatively.

Ultrasound
All of our ultrasound equipment and its computer system are linked via our network to all digital data in the hospital.

Radiography
The imaging suite has a Sound/Eklin true digital x-ray machine specially designed for animals. This is the system used in most major human hospitals and veterinary colleges in the United States. The radiographs are available in 4 seconds and are transmitted to a flat screen monitor anywhere in the building where they may be reviewed by one of our doctors and the client. All of our radiographs are reviewed by a board certified radiologist.

Surgery
The surgical suite is fully equipped with instrumentation to perform soft tissue, orthopedic and laparoscopic procedures.

Lounge
The lounge is a quiet place where our team can go on break or to make lunch in the full kitchen.
Manager's Office
Our practice manager’s office is located in a central location so that she can be accessible for questions regarding patient care, administrative needs or client inquiries.

Dr's Office
The Doctor's office is a bright, airy space shared by our veterinarians. This fosters an environment where we can discuss cases and continuously educate ourselves.

Flight Cage
Our state-of-the-art flight cage has over 9,000 cubic feet of enclosed, secure space. All of the openings have vertical conduit spaced a few inches apart to produce a smooth interior surface that will not damage wings or feathers. There is ample room for a bald eagle, peregrine falcon or any other raptor in our care to exercise freely and acclimate to the ambient temperatures before their release.

Our Grounds
Our 22 acre grounds offer a peaceful setting where many clients take time out for a walk to the swan pond or just to stop for a moment and watch the sunset.

Handicap Ramp
We offer additional parking at the rear of our building and a gradual ramp for those patients or clients with disabilities. There is also a quiet out of the way outdoor sitting area amongst numerous bird houses and feeders.

Kennel
The kennel is a large room with separate enclosures for each patient. The ceramic tile walls are sealed with commercial grade epoxy grout that lends itself to easy cleaning and disinfection. These tempered glass doors add a sense of openness that is appreciated by our patients.

Isolation
The isolation ward is a single use room with its own filtered heated or cooled air supply. We use strict contamination control procedures including specific instruments and equipment for this area. We wear disposable paper gowns, caps, masks and booties to prevent the spread of a possibly contagious infection while still giving our patient the medical care they need. This area is equipped with a camera that is continuously streaming to our treatment area so that we can monitor our patients.
