Our 10th Annual Pet Connection Adoption Day was a huge success. The event far exceeded our expectations. We found homes for over 200 pets. We had close to 3,000 people visit us this year and, because of your generous donations, we were able to raise over $22,000 for Pet Connection! All of this money goes directly back to help pets in need.
We want to extend an especially heartfelt thank you to the following:
All of the rescue groups and shelters who came to the event. We are so grateful for all that you do.
Steve Caporizzo's Pet Connection for partnering with us to help pets in need find forever homes.
Steve and Lisa Caporizzo who are the driving force for the success of this event and do so much for our community.
Dr. Ed and Sally for your continued dedication of countless hours to make this event possible.
Our sponsor, Healthy Pet Center, who donated all of their proceeds from this event to benefit Pet Connection. They also donated all the items in the cat and dog adoption bags. Their support of local rescue organizations is unprecedented.
C.W. Whalen and Sons again donated the tents, tables and chairs for our raffle, music and food areas. They donated multiple fans, misting stations and an outdoor air conditioner to keep the pets and guests cool. We appreciate their willingness to accommodate our ever-growing needs without hesitation.
The White Management restaurants, Bountiful Bread and Cold Stone Creamery, joined us for the 10th year in a row to cater the event. As always, the food was exceptional.
Vinnie Leddick, the outstanding singer/songwriter from the Sagamore Resort on Lake George, along with Bruce entertained our guests throughout the day with their excellent music.
Worthington Flowers generously donated beautiful flower arrangements to grace all of our tables.
SEFCU came out again to be our mobile bank for the day.
Ymca Adventure Camp graciously allowed us to use their property so that we could provide an easy exit from the event.
Albany County K-9 Unit for teaching our guests about what they do for our community.
Berkshire Bird Paradise Inc., Whispering Willow Wild Care and Uncharted Wild LLC educated our guests about reptiles and birds of prey including a bald eagle.
John Norton for capturing amazing photographs of the event.
Camp Bow Wow Albany, NY provided three multi-passenger golf carts to shuttle our guests between the parking lot and the event.
And lastly, to The Animal Hospital staff and volunteers. This day would not have been possible without this dedicated group who spend many hours working hard to make this event possible.
We hope that you all continue to join us in the future!
